Homecoming Season 2: From Cast, Release Date to Everything

Homecoming is an arrangement that encourages soldiers to progress back to a regular citizen’s life. Heidi Bergman is a caseworker at Homecoming. She leaves Homecoming to begin another life living with her mom and filling in as a small-town waitress. While she’s settled in her new life, the Department of Defense questions the account on what she left, which makes Heidi understand that there’s a whole other story behind the one that she’s been letting herself know. Oscar-winning Julia Roberts starred as Heidi in one of its kind TV series roles of her career.

Release Date

The second season will be directed by Kyle Patrick Alvarez and will star Janelle Monáe and Chris Cooper with Stephan James and Hong Chau returning from the first season. The second season is set to premiere on May 22, 2020, on Amazon Prime Video.

What To Expect

The second season is expected to deviate from the podcast and feature a new story and characters. The season opens with her waking up in a rowboat, with no memory of her identity or how she got there. A good portion of the trailer — which expands considerably on a teaser released earlier in April — is devoted to the idea of the character trying to figure out who she is. The ensuing search for identity will lead her into the heart of the Geist Group, the unconventional wellness company behind the Homecoming Initiative. The trailer also teases the fans by revealing glimpses into the farming and sourcing of the mysterious drug Geist is testing, which appears to be derived from some sort of red berry. After tackling the military-industrial complex, “Homecoming” seems to be taking on agricultural practices with similar gusto.

Going by trailer, what seems is that this is going to be much more of the continuation of the first season than expected. Hong Chau returns as Audrey Temple, an anonymous underling at the unconventional wellness company Geist Group, and Stephan James reprises his role as Walter Cruz, who is roped back into a more insidious affair at Geist in the midst of trying to build a new life for himself.
