Huawei has finally launched the Huawei Nova 4e smartphone, today at a launch event in Beijing, China. The Nova 4e is a budget smartphone that brings in triple rear cameras, a 32MP selfie camera and a modern design with waterdrop notch. Let’s talk about the same in detail.

As for the specs, the Huawei Nova 4e sports a 6.15 inch IPS LCD display that delivers full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2312 pixels. Furthermore, the small waterdrop notch allows for a tall aspect ratio of 19.5:9.

Under the hood, the device is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 710 octa-core SoC. We’ve seen the same previously on the Honor 8X and Huawei Y9 2019. The device further incorporates 4/6GB of RAM and 128 of internal storage. Thankfully, it also carries support for additional storage through microSD card.

For photography, the Huawei Nova 4e gets an AI-driven triple camera set up at the back. The module comprises of a 24-megapixel primary sensor, a 120-degree 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Up front, there’s a 32MP shooter for selfies, touted to capture brighter shots in dim-light conditions.

Moving further, the Nova 4e runs Android 9 Pie OS skinned with EMUI 9 on top. Notably, the company has included GPU Turbo 2.0 onboard for accelerated graphics performance.

For unlocking, the phone gets an AI-powered face unlock feature apart from the fingerprint scanner at the rear. All of this is backed by a 3,240mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. Lastly, the handset is equipped with all necessary connectivity options including connectivity features such as dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, USB-C and 3.5mm audio jack.

Huawei Nova 4e Price & Availability

The Huawei Nova 4e price has been set at 1,999 Yuan (roughly Rs. 20,633) and 2,299 Yuan (roughly Rs. 23,730) for the 4/128GB and 6/128GB RAM and storage models, respectively. Available now for pre-orders, the device will be up for open sale starting March 28 in China.

Given that the last year’s Nova 3e was launched as P20 Lite for some markets, it is expected that the Nova 4e will arrive as Huawei P30 Lite in Europe and some other markets. Stay tuned.
