Little Nightmares III: Release Date, Gameplay, and Trailer!

Developed by Supermassive Games, Little Nightmares III is an upcoming puzzle-platform horror adventure video game that is published by Bandai Namco Entertainment for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. It follows two new child protagonists, Low and Alone, as they navigate through The Nowhere and escape from a looming threat and serves as a stand-alone sequel to the first two Little Nightmares games.

Little Nightmares III Gameplay

Little Nightmares III is going to follow a similar format to the rest of the games that have been released until now. It will be set in a 2.5D world and the players would get a chance to explore a new world. They will also face problems like puzzles and many other things on their way. Compared to the first two games, this one will be set in a solo mode along with an AI companion or with a new player in the online co-op. There will be two main characters and they will have separate gameplay mechanics. Low will be given a bow and arrow while alone will get a wrench.

Little Nightmares III Release Date

The makers have confirmed that Little Nightmares III will be released sometime in 2024 but the official date is yet to announce. Tarsier Studios revealed in 2021 that Little Nightmares II will be the last entry in the franchise. This came after the company was taken over in December 2019 by the Embracer Group. However, the rights to the game are with Bandai Namco and the publisher planned to continue the franchise without the involvement of Tarsier. Nightmares III was officially revealed during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live in August 2023.

Supermassive Games is working on the development of the game compared to the rest of the installments and the company has previously developed the advanced versions of the Little Nightmares games for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. A podcast series called The Sound of Nightmares was announced officially and the first two episodes of the podcast came out on the official YouTube channel of Bandai Namco Europe on August 22, 2023.
