Developed and published by Konami, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is an upcoming action-adventure stealth video game which is a remake of the 2004 game Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. The remake is also set in the year 1964 and it focuses on the story of a Fox operative who is known by the codename Naked Snake. He needs to save a Russian rocket scientist and also damage a Soviet nuclear superweapon called Shagohod. He needs to save his country from some severe charges which is set in between the tensions that happen during the Cold War and also face of his former mentor The Boss. The remake is an important entry in the Metal Gear franchise after the release of Metal Gear Survive in 2018. We witnessed that Konami first put a stop to the release of the third-party console games to give more preference to medium level games, also released for smartphones. They have another studio called Konami Digital Entertainment which is involved in the development of the game and they are being supported by Virtuos, which is based in Singapore.

It also elaborated the reason for giving the name Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater to the game, saying that it is a reference to change and also retained the main structure of the original game. A few screenshots have also gone viral which revealed that familiar locales from the opening Virtuous Mission will be a part of the game along with tech which has been updated. For now, the gamers can also expect that the same story will be featured here and the fans of the original game would not get to witness any major changes. The game was announced on May 24, 2023, during Sony Interactive Entertainment’s PlayStation Showcase alongside the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 compilation, PlayStation 5 which includes the original version of Snake Eater. it is confirmed that the game is confirmed for Windows and Xbox Series X/S. But the official date of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is not confirmed yet.
