Developed and published by Black Tabby Games for Microsoft Windows, Linux, and macOS systems, Slay the Princess is an upcoming horror adventure game. The game is a completely new take on the concept of damsel-in-distress. Here the intention is to take down the princess instead of being her protector.

The lead protagonist goes inside a forest and is told by the narrator to take down the princess who lives in the basement of a cabin inside the forest. The name of the princess is not revealed but the narrator says that she is a danger for the entire world and needs to be finished off. Now it depends on the choice of the player if he or she wants to kill or save the princess.

Slay the Princess Release Date

Slay the Princess was announced by Black Tabby Games in July last year. The title received around 25,000 wishlists on the Steam page in only two weeks and a demo was released for the public during the Steam Next Fest. During the PAX East 2023, Black Tabby Games displayed a demo of four different conclusions and altered versions that were featured in the demo.

The demo received decent feedback and most of them called it one of the best so far. The game also reached the final of the Rising Showcase. During their appearance at the Feardemic’s Fear Fest, a new trailer was unveiled with a release date set for October 20, 2023.

The storyline of Slay the Princess will also include everything from the world of RPG. The game’s progress will depend on a player’s choices and the time will reset every time. Dialogues need to be chosen carefully because the same thing will affect how a player would be built and this will equally impact the narrative.
