Tell Me Why is the forthcoming Dontnod Entertainment Adventure title, released by Xbox Game Studios. The game is scheduled to be released in three episodes in mid-2020 specifically for Xbox One and Windows.
After ten years apart, Tyler and Alyson are moving together to sell their childhood home. They soon learn that their history isn’t what they know.
Throughout this romantic mystery, the twins Tyler and Alyson Ronan use their spiritual connection to uncover the secrets of their caring yet turbulent upbringing in the lovely little town of Alaska.
Release Date
During the Xbox Games Showcase event, a trailer for the forthcoming DONTNOD title Tell Me Why was released.
The first chapter of Tell Me Why will be accessible from August 27th for Windows and Xbox One with an Xbox Series X update to come. The game will be free for Xbox Game Pass users.
Gameplay
The game is based on the twins Alyson and Tyler who have returned to their childhood home in Alaska. They have to deal with events since childhood, particularly for Tyler because he has transitioned to a man. The narrative is about how their family condition affected Tyler’s growth and effect on her mother.

In the game, the player must explore parts of the old home with both the twins and witness various hallucinations and flashbacks of what had happened, with each twin possessing different perceptions of what had happened. The player must make choices for the pair depending on the account of historical events to assume, which will affect the results of the game.
Dontnod said that Tyler was the first transgender character to be played in any major studio. They collaborated with GLAAD to give him an authentic portrayal of the trans community.
