Developed by Creative Assembly Sofia and published by Sega, Total War: Pharaoh is an upcoming turn-based strategy real-time tactics video game. Pharaoh will be a new entry in the Total War series and the premise is set in the New Kingdom of Egypt alongside the surrounding areas before the Late Bronze Age collapse.

Total War: Pharaoh Gameplay

Total War: Pharaoh will require your unique strategy compared to other video games. Players would get to select any one among eight leaders and they would represent the three main factions which include Ancient Egypt, the Canaanites of the Levant, and the Hittite Empire under the reign of Suppiluliuma II and Kurunta in Anatolia. Unit stance is a new thing that is being added here where units would get a choice to either fight or stay down. In case they quit, they would also get to retreat by maintaining a formation and progress further.

The armor would also be reduced at one point and this will make them vulnerable while they confront each other. The unit movement would also be affected due to environments and armor. There will be a lot of fire on the battlefield, leading to the destruction of buildings and the death of other units. The players can also recruit units that are adaptive to the harsh weather and terrain conditions of Egypt. Certain changes have been made to the siege battles and there would be three capture points for each settlement and each of them would bring more boost to the army controlling it.

In May 2023, the game Total War: Pharaoh was announced and set to be released on Windows PC on October 11, 2023. The game is going to have a lot of content that could be downloaded and this includes a campaign pack and multiple faction packs.
