Lords of the Fallen: Trailer, Gameplay, and Release Date!

Developed by Hexworks and published by CI Games, Lords of the Fallen is an upcoming action role-playing video game. It is a successor to the 2014 video game of the same name, which is set to be released for Windows PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S.

Lords of the Fallen Gameplay

Lords of the Fallen would feature a lot of action and things are going to be the same as the predecessor. Gamers would get to use melee weapons and magic at the same time and the entire process has been inspired from Soulslike games. Gamers can take the help of another player to complete the campaign and it also has a multiplayer mode where one player can compete against another. As the game starts, players can make changes to their avatar and select any one among nine character classes. The world inside the game would be linked to each other and two worlds would be put on top of each other.

The world of Axiom is the world of the living where players can use magical lanterns to get Umbral.  Although the physical space remains the same, there will be an inaccessible spot that could be accessed by visiting another realm. If the player dies, he or she would enter the Umbral where they must return to Axion and retrieve the lost experience points. After the player dies in the Umbral realm, they would be revived and lose the XPs that they have not used. There are fewer savepoints but players can organize the same for themselves with the materials accumulated from Umbral monsters.

Lords of the Fallen Release Date

Lords of the Fallen is set to be released for Windows PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S on October 13, 2023. The game was officially announced during the Gamescom last year and the name was revealed to be The Lords of the Gallen. However, it was changed to Lords of the Fallen. The name that was initially considered was Lords of the Fallen: The Dark Crusade but the studio decided to let go of it for not being a perfect fit since this was a reboot. Hexworks planned a lot for the game but the studio decided to be the second reference for the Soulsborne category with Dark Souls 4.5.
