Vivo iQoo teased to have Snapdragon 855 SoC, In-display FP and Triple Rear Cameras

Vivo’s new sub-brand, iQoo has laid out teasers of its first forthcoming smartphone on Chinese social networking site, Weibo proposing Snapdragon 855 processor and sixth-generation in-display fingerprint scanner. The teasers were posted for the period of the 2019 NBA All-Star Weekend. However, the phone’s publication date is uncertain at the moment.

Notably, the Vivo iQoo sports a polished backboard with triple rear cameras ranged vertically on the left. The iQoo logo is positioned straight up below the rear camera arrangement.

The phone will skimp on a physical fingerprint sensor. The brand subsequently revealed that the phone would carry its sixth-generation in-display fingerprint scanner. To hindsight, the Vivo Nex Twofold Display Version that was tossed in December last year sports the company’s fifth-generation fingerprint scanner. That being said, this latest sixth-generation scanner on the iQoo phone is supposed to be faster than its predecessor. Additional particulars comprise a Snapdragon 855 processor that originates support for 5G cellular capabilities.

Is this the iQoo’s upcoming foldable smartphone?

Indeed, this does not appear to be iQoo’s foldable device that was dropped in images on Weibo in recent times. The foldable device is being flaunted as the company’s first smartphone. Anyways, we still need to wait for official words on the same.

Evidently, the Vivo iOoo’s upcoming foldable smartphone will reportedly be capable of transforming into a tablet. The implementation resembles the Royale FlexPai that arrived last year.

The image render of the foldable phone does not have any physical buttons or cutouts for the camera. Furthermore, other sections proposing the final device might make it look poles apart. Vivo cast its sub-brand, iQoo in China previously this month. It is the fifth sub-brand of smartphones being proclaimed by BBK electronics. The parent company currently holds four OEMs including Vivo, Oppo, OnePlus, and Realme.
