Minions: The Rise of Gru: Plot and Cast
The movie is set in the 1970s, just after the events of the 2015 Minions film. Felonius Gru is twelve years old and is growing up in the suburbs. He is a huge fan of the supervillain group Vicious 6, and decides to hatch a plan to become evil enough to be a part of the group.
Vicious 6 soon fires their member, the legendary fighter Wild Knuckles, and thus, Gru seeks an interview with the group. Needless to say, the interview does not go well at all, and Gru ends up stealing from them. Did we mention that Kevin, Stuart, Bob, Otto and the other minions help him steal?
When Gru becomes the main enemy of the evil groups, he finds an unexpected source of help in the Minions. Pierre Coffin plays The Minions while Steve Carell plays Felonius Gru. Taraji P. Henson plays Belle Bottom, leader of Vicious 6. Michelle Yeow plays Master Chow.
