Developed by Neowiz Games and Round8 Studio, Lies of P is an upcoming soulslike video game which is published by Neowiz Games. It is based on the 1883 Italian novel The Adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi. The main premise of Lies of P is about Pinocchio, who finds himself in a train station in Krat. Krat is a city that is going through a lot of problems and Pinocchio aims to find the man involved in his birth. The man is Geppetto and the protagonist also confronts the problems inside the city, attempting to change himself into a real man.

Lies of P Release Date

On May 19, 2021, South Korean publisher NeoWiz announced the game. The game will be released on September 2023 for Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and MacOS, Xbox One.

A gameplay trailer was displayed during the Gamescom 22 and the developers revealed that the game will be compatible with Xbox Game Pass. A footage featuring the gameplay in 4K quality was also shown during the GDC 2023.

Lies of P: Gameplay

Lies of P will feature a very unique gameplay where the main protagonist Pinocchio will be in control of the player. The character will be walking around Krat, finding different enemies and trying to defeat them. Weapons will be provided to Pinocchio including swords and axes, and he will also get the chance to dodge the attacks normally.

Pinocchio’s mechanical arm will prove to be useful for finishing off enemies. The game will provide a collection of 30 weapons with several combinations. However, the game is expected to end as per the player’s choice since the developers have also added the Lying System, giving priority to the player. The gameplay is said to be similar to other games like Dark Souls and Bloodborne.
