Developed by NetherRealm Studios, Mortal Kombat 1 is an upcoming fighting game which is published by Warner Bros. Games. It will be the 12th entry in the Mortal Kombat series. It will also be a follow-up to Mortal Kombat 11 and the second reboot in the entire franchise.
The game will be set after everything that happened in Mortal Kombat 11. Fire God Liu Kang has now made a new world where he has added his touch. Things are not so new here, but Liu has accumulated several warriors from various dimensions, planning to fight a bigger enemy this time.

NetherRealm Studios ended its collaboration with Mortal Kombat 11 and announced a new project by July 2021. Andrew Bowen gave his voice to Johnny Cage and he announced that a new installment is being developed.
On September 14, 2023, Mortal Kombat 1 will be released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. For Kollector and Premium Edition, they can start playing it from September 19, 2023.

Dave Bautista was also featured in the game’s trailer and it paid tribute to the Mortal Monday commercial, also featuring Bautista, which appeared in the original Mortal Kombat. Megan Fox was later cast for the role of Nitara.

The game will have various modes including a story made. It will feature the multiplayer feature and players will also get to play it offline. The Kameo Fighters will be the main protagonists and will help anyone to fight the enemies. The characters will be different compared to the usual ones and selected before all the fights. The developers have also added the Air Kombat combo system which was previously seen in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon and Shaolin Monks.
