Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions: Release Date, Gameplay and Features!
Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions is a forthcoming football game created by Tamsoft. It will release for Windows, PS4 and Nintendo Switch by Bandai Namco Entertainment.
This is the first game based on the Captain Tsubasa series released exclusively for gaming consoles since Captain Tsubasa’s 2010 Nintendo DS title, Gekito no Kiseki released in Europe.
Release Date
The game was revealed on January 21, 2020, with a teaser. In an interview with video game producer Tsuzuki Katsuaki, he said the game is a combination of football/soccer arcade game.
It is expected to be released worldwide on 28 August 2020.
Gameplay
Soccer and anime worlds are colliding with Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions, based on the famous show of Captain Tsubasa. The game chronicles Tsubasa Ozora’s sporting accomplishments as he shows his love of the game and progresses through the ranks of several Soccer Leagues.
More importantly, the game contains signature moves for different characters, both offensive and defensive, and a story mode as well as online gaming and local multiplayer gameplay.
The trailer offers a good description of exactly what to expect from the game, which appears to come down to highly over-the-top football with anime graphics.
It will include Japanese voice-overs and Portuguese subtitles, including English, Japanese, Italian, Spanish, Arabic, Standard Chinese, and many more.
