Killing eve is a British black comedy spy thriller TV series based on Villanelle novel series by Luke Jennings. Each season of the series is led by a different female head writer. The series comprises of three seasons as of now and has been renewed for a fourth season by the network BBC America and BBC iPlayer. The head writer of the first season was Phoebe Waller-Bridge. “I am beyond thrilled that we can continue our extraordinary journey. It is a testament to everyone involved that we have been picked up so early—the magnificent actors, writers, directors and production team. We are extremely lucky to work with such fierce and dedicated people.” Executive Producer Sally Woodward Gentle stated.

When is it coming back?

After receiving critical acclamation from critics and solid reviews from the audience, the show has been renewed for the fourth season. In January 2020, Killing Eve was renewed for the fourth segment.  The third season concluded on 31 May 2020. Nothing about the release date has been given out by the network yet. However, going by the show’s sequence, we might get to see the show around spring 2021.

Watch the trailer of season 3 below:

What is it about?

The official synopsis of the series on BBC America goes like :

Killing Eve centres on two women: Eve is a bored, whip-smart, pay-grade security services operative whose desk-bound job doesn’t fulfil her fantasies of being a spy. Villanelle is a mercurial, talented killer who clings to the luxuries her violent job affords her.

Killing Eve topples the typical spy-action thriller as these two women, equally obsessed with each other, go head to head in an epic game of cat and mouse.”

Season 3 ended with Carolyn killing her boss Paul Bradwell. On the other hand, we saw that Eve and Villanelle have chosen to linger together. It is too early to anticipate what happens in the fourth season of the series.

Who is in it?

The usual cast members of the show are Sandra Oh as Eve Polastri, Fiona Shaw as Carolyn Martens, Jodie Comer as Oksana Astankova / Villanelle, Kim Bodnia as Konstantin Vasiliev and Gemma Whelan as Carolyn’s daughter Geraldine.
