Legacies Season 3: Renewal Status, Plot and Details!

Created by Julie Plec, Legacies is an American fantasy drama TV series which is networked by  The CW.  The show is a spin-off of The Originals. The series received positive reviews for the fresh storyline, amazing characters and supernatural blend of elements. The show has two seasons full of drama and fantasy embedded in it. The good news is Legacies has been renewed for the third season and fans are thrilled. Get ready to visit the land of vampires, werewolves, and witches!

Release Date and Trailer:

The CW president Mark Pedowitz had announced that every show that was set to premiere in fall 2020 has been shifted to 2021 release due to the ongoing Covid19 pandemic. Pedowitz also said, “The CW will start its new season in January 2021, when we will launch our regular primetime schedule”. Now, we just need to be patient to see our faves return back on screen.

The first season premiered on 2th of October 2018 followed by the season 2 on October 10, 2019. The CW renewed the series for a third season in January 2020. No release date has been announced by the network yet. However, we might get to see season 3 around early 2021. The official trailer is not out yet.

What is it about?

The second season of the show had abruptly ended because of the pandemic. “Facing Darkness is Kinda My Thing” was the finale episode which left the viewers with a number of questions. It is too soon to expect what happens in season 3 of the series. However, a lot of things might unravel in the third season which fans have been eagerly waiting for.

For those of you unaware of what the show is about, here goes the plot synopsis “Legacies follows Hope Mikaelson, the daughter of Klaus Mikaelson and Hayley Marshall, who is descended from some of the most powerful vampire, werewolf, and witch bloodlines. Two years after the events of The Originals, 17-year-old Hope attends the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted. The school provides a haven where supernatural beings can learn to control their abilities and impulses.” (Source: Wiki)

Who is in it?

The usual cast members of the show are expected to be back for the third season as well. The main cast members are Danielle Rose Russell as Hope Mikaelson, Aria Shahghasemi as Landon Kirby, Jenny Boyd as Lizzie Saltzman, Kaylee Bryant as Josie Saltzman, Peyton Alex Smith as Rafael Waithe, Matt Davis as Alaric Saltzman and Quincy Fouse as  Milton “MG” Greasley.
