OnePlus is getting closer to its first launch of the year as we approach the month of May. The Chinese manufacturer is expected to unveil the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro on May 14. Ahead of its alleged launch date, details of the devices have surfaced online. Both smartphones have previously been subjected to leaks before.
According to an industry tipster, OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro will come in 128GB and 256GB internal storage options. The OnePlus 7 will have 6GB RAM while the Pro variant will be offered in 8GB RAM. However, there will be a third model of the Pro variant with a 12GB RAM and 256GB storageconfiguration. The tipster also reveals that the standard edition will feature a 6.4 inch FHD+ display while the Pro variant will sport a larger 6.7 inch QHD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate.
Previous leaks have indicated that OnePlus 7 will have a 48MP + 2MP camera setup, but new information claims that the phone will have a 5MP depth sensor. The Pro variant is said to come with a 16MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture. The OnePlus 7 will draw power from a 3,700 mAh battery with 20W fast charging. The Pro variant, on the other hand, will be backed by a 4,000 mAh battery with 30W Warp Charge support.
The OnePlus renders released earlier this month indicated that the regular model will have a waterdrop notch while the Pro variant will have a pop-up camera. There is also talk of a OnePlus 7 5G variant which is said to have specifications as the Pro model. Both the phones will be available in Blue, Grey, and Brown color options.
While there is no official launch date, our best bet is both the smartphones will launch globally on May 14. So, we can expect a launch in India a day after on May 15 and made available on Amazon India soon going by OnePlus’s track record.
