The long-awaited live-action version of Mulan is (almost) out on Disney+! The original films were both animated movies released by Disney in 1998 and 2004. These movies are based on “The Ballad of Mulan” which is a Chinese folklore tale from the 11th century. The movies feature Hua Mulan, known as Fa Mulan in the animated versions, who dresses up as a man to fight a war in the place of her father.
Mulan (2020): Plot and Cast

Jet Li plays the Emperor of China, a wise and kind ruler. Xana Tang plays Hua Xiu, the youngest daughter of Hua Zhou.
Mulan (2020): Release Date and Trailer
The live-action version of the fan favourite premieres on September 4, 2020. Niki Caro directed the film which cost $200 million to make.
