Perry Mason is an upcoming Drama television series based on the novels and short stories of the same name, written by Erle Stanley Gardner. The series was developed and written by Rolin Jones and Ron Fitzgerald. This reboot crime/drama series is coming on HBO soon!

When Is The Series Expected To Release?

The series releases exactly one month later, on June 21, 2020 on HBO! This is happy, exciting news for many of us as we are getting to watch new content after many days.

What Is The Cast Of The Perry Mason Series?

The cast includes Matthew Rhys as Perry Mason, Tatiana Maslany as Sister Alice, John Lithgow as Elias Birchard E.B. Jonathan, Chris Chalk as Paul Drake, Shea Whigham as Pete Strickland and Juliet Rylance as Della Street. The series also casts Nate Corddry as Matthew Dodson, Veronica Falcon as Lupe, Jefferson Mays as Virgil, Andrew Howard as Detective Ennis, Eric Lange as Detective Holcomb and Lili Taylor as Birdy McKeegan.

Robert Downey Jr. was initially supposed to play the main, lead role in the series. But he couldn’t fit this in his schedule so he will be the executive producer of the series along with Susan Downey!

What Is The Storyline Of The Series?

Perry Mason is set in 1932 in Los Angeles. According to a summary of the series by HBO, “While the rest of the country recovers from the Great Depression, this city is booming! Oil! Olympic Games! Talking Pictures! Evangelical Fervor! And a child kidnapping has gone very, very wrong!” The rest of the story revolves around Perry Mason, the greatest criminal defense lawyer of his times working on the case!
