Paddington 3 was announced by StudioCanal to be in development even before Paddington 2 had hit screens. The film will be the third in the Paddington franchise. It is based on the character Paddington Bear, created by Michael Bond. The first film released in 2014, grossing $268 million worldwide. The second film released in 2017, with a box office collection of $227 million. Both films were directed by Paul King, and have been loved by critics and audiences alike. The franchise is a co-production of British production company Heyday films and French production company StudioCanal.

Paddington 3: What we know so far
Although director Paul King had reiterated his interest in returning for the third film in 2017, he won’t be directing the third film.
“At some point, you just have to stop. It might be time for somebody else to do a twist on it. I’m trying not to do a third bear movie, which is a huge, huge mistake.”
Ben Whishaw will be back as the voice of Paddington Brown. Other cast members that are expected to back include Hugh Bonneville as Henry Brown; Sally Hawkins as Mary Brown; Madeleine Harris as Judy Brown; Samuel Joslin as Jonathan Brown and Julie Walters as Mrs. Bird. Imelda Staunton can also be expected to be back as the voice of Paddington’s adoptive aunt, Aunt Lucy. If Michael Gambon also returns as the voice of Uncle Pastuzo, it will be in the form of flashbacks.

We can also expect other cast members from Paddington 2 to reprise their roles for the third film, such as Peter Capaldi as Mr. Curry, Ben Miller as Colonel Lancaster, Jessica Hynes as Miss Kitts, Sanjeev Bhaskar as Dr. Jafri and Jim Broadbent as Samuel Gruber.
Release Date of Paddington 3
The script of the film is already written, as revealed by the director of the first two films, Paul King. However, there has been no official announcement of a release date for Paddington 3 so far.
