The Matrix 4: Production Is Believed To Begin Soon!

Matrix 4 is an upcoming science-fiction action movie. It is the fourth installment in The Matrix franchise. This film is co-written and directed by Lana Wachowski. It is said to release on May 21, 2021.

All productions worldwide have been shut for the past few months due to the COVID-19 pandemic. So, this news comes as a ‘silver lining’ to the fans!

When Does The Production For The Fourth Instalment Begin?

The film was officially announced by Warner Bros. on August 20, 2019. The film began production in San Fransisco on February 4, 2020, under the code name ‘Project Ice Cream’. The production was halted in March 2020 due to the pandemic. This production unit has a unique quality to it. There was no second unit required for the action sequences, unlike other productions. This was because Wachowski directed all the scenes herself! The production is said to continue in July 2020. Let’s just hope that it does resume then and there is no further delay.

Who All Will Be There In The Matrix 4?

Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss are going to return as Neo and Trinity, the iconic pair! The cast will also include Jada Pinkett Smith as Niobe and Lambert  Wilson as The Merovingian. The cast also has new members whose roles have not yet been disclosed. They include Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Neil Patrick Harris, Priyanka Chopra, Jessica Henwick, Jonathon Groff, Toby Onwumere, Max Riemelt, Erendira Ibarra, Andrew Caldwell, Brian J.Smith and Ellen Hollman.

Is The Title Of The Fourth Instalment Really “Matrix 4”?

The Franchise consists of three movies right now. They are The Matrix(1999), the second and third movies were not simply named with 2 & 3 numerical. They followed a pattern, ‘The Matrix R’… pattern. The second was Reloaded and the third was Revolutions, both of them came in 2003. That is a long wait for the fans! Many people believe that the fourth movie could have titles like ‘Resurrected’ or ‘Reboot’. But there’s this valid point also. The titles, ‘Reloaded'(second movie) and ‘Revolutions'(third movie) did not receive much positive feedback. So the title formatting could take a completely different turn! Right now, all we can do is speculate and wait. What title format do you think could be followed?
